For the unversed, it was after India’s historic 4-match Test series win against England when he had promised to wear the same sunglasses that Axar Patel wore during that series to celebrate India’s victory in the Test series over England. Axar had played an instrumental role in the win. He emerged out as the second-highest wicket-taker in the series with 27 scalps to his name.

Earlier he had posted a picture of the sunglasses and wrote: “I said I was going to get myself a pair of ‘Axar’s shades’ to commemorate the series win. Bought a pair (thanks Sporting Tool Relish!) & all set to watch the match tonight. I know, I know; no shades needed to watch TV & wife thinks I’m crazy but maybe it’ll be a good luck charm!”.
