In the last couple of years, Dhawan has established himself as one of the main men of Indian cricket in ODIs and T2OIs. After Dhawan’s Test debut against Australia, he has taken his game to a new level altogether.
In the ongoing tour of Sri Lanka, Dhawan has been in tremendous form. In the Test series, he was awarded the man of the series for his outstanding performance with the bat. Shikhar Dhawan was the leading run scorer of the Test series.
He carried his good from Test to ODIs and smashed a match-winning hundred in the first match. In the second match, Dhawan started well but couldn’t convert it into a big one as Akila Dananjaya stunned India with his mystery spin. However, a lot of credit for Dhawan’s wicket goes to Angelo Mathews who took an outstanding catch.
