The fans of the Indian cricket team were once again left disappointed with the selection choices in the first T20I against England. The Indian fans are slamming the Indian skipper and the Indian team management for not picking Rohit Sharma in the playing XI for the 1st T20I.
Notably, earlier during a press conference, Virat had mentioned that Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will be opening the innings for team India.
However, before the game kickstarted, the Indian skipper came for the toss in the T20I against England, he revealed that the team has decided to rest Rohit for the first couple of T20Is. He also said that KL Rahul will be opening the innings for team India along with Shikhar Dhawan for the first two T20Is. Besides this, Virat also revealed that Suryakumar Yadav was also not included in the side as Shreyas Iyer has been picked in the playing XI. Axar Patel has also been included in the team. Deepak Chahar and Suryakumar Yadav have missed out on the team.
