Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the most talked-about personalities of the country. Whatever he does in his personal or professional life, he never fails to make it to the headlines. Lately, the cricketer has been getting slammed on social media for donating only Rs.1 lakh to help people tackling COVID-19.
Yes, people are not happy with the news of him donating only Rs.1 lakh. However, the news is entirely false as the cricketer hasn’t made any donation so far. The false news has been making rounds on the internet with the netizens devaluing the former Indian skipper’s contribution to social media.

However, to clear the air once and for all, MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni has now come out and slammed the journalists for spreading false rumors about the donation.
On Friday, Sakshi Dhoni took to her micro-blogging site Twitter and slammed the media houses and urged them to stop carrying false news at sensitive times like these. In her tweet, she wrote that she wonders where responsible journalism has disappeared. She wrote:
“I request all media houses to stop carrying out false news at sensitive times like these! Shame on You! I wonder where responsible journalism has disappeared!

Talking about MS Dhoni, the former cricketer will be seen in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, ever since he took a sabbatical from the game. However, the 13th edition of the IPL 2020 that was supposed to kickstart on March 29 with four-time champions Mumbai Indians taking on former champions Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, however, it has now been suspended to April 15 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19.
