The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli extended his support to Mohammed Shami as he hit back at the trolls who attacked him on social media after India’s embarrassing 10-wicket defeat at the hands of Pakistan. Well, it has been proved by many websites that the religious abuses towards Mohammed Shami came from extremely dubious accounts that were created very recently and had their origins in Pakistan. It is believed that the campaign was run by some Pakistanis to defame India.
Thus, Virat Kohli extending his support to Mohammad Shami didn’t go down well with many fans, who started slamming him on Twitter. Among many, Twitter user Gappistan Radio lashed out at him for the same.
In his Tweet, Gappistan Radio slammed Kohli and hoped that India’s campaign in the World Cup comes to an end soon. He wrote: “Kohli condemning abuse of Shami after it had been shown that no Indian abused Shami and it was a Pakistan project, this Indian team can f*ck of (sic) to be honest…. Hope Kane Williamson ends this painful tournament tomorrow…”
The Tweet soon grabbed a lot of attention and Kohli fans started abusing and trolling the Twitter user for his outrageous Tweet. However, things took an ugly turn when the abuses escalated into threats against the user’s 7-year-old son.
Gappistan Radio shared a screenshot of comments made on Instagram on the picture of his 7-year-old son. The comments featured in the screenshot contained abuses from a fan of Virat Kohli, directed at the child himself.
Not just this, in a Tweet, Gappistan Radio also said that a fan of the Indian skipper was also sending him pictures of his son, which came across as a not-so-subtle threat. The Twitter user also revealed how he had to disable his Instagram account because of the abuses he was receiving from a fan. He also said that he was leaving Twitter because of targeted attacks against him and his son. “I can tolerate everything but not attacks on my son,”
