The batting maestro, who is hailed as the modern legend of cricket, has been receiving criticism for his performances off-lately.
Virat Kohli has last scored an international century in 2019 and ever since then, the ton has kept on evading him. Several experts and cricketers have also questioned his place in India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022.
After sitting out the first ODI match because of a groin strain, Virat made a comeback in 2nd ODI but he was dismissed after striking three boundaries at Lord’s. Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen is among those who came out in support of Virat Kohli. On Saturday, KP took to his social media and shared a heartfelt message for Kohli. Supporting the Indian batting legend in his post, KP stated that there is a world outside cricket and he will be back to his best soon. He wrote:
“Buddy, your career has had some of the best that have played the game only wish they could have done what you have(so far). Be proud, walk tall & enjoy life. There’s way more than just the bubble of cricket out there. You’ll be back,”
