After a long time, a Tendulkar stole the show on-field. Time and again, Sachin Tendulkar bailed out his team – be it India or Mumbai Indians, during his glorious career. On Tuesday, his son Arjun Tendulkar, did the same when he helped his side Mumbai Indians in a tense chase while Sachin anxiously watched on from the pavilion.
Arjun picked his maiden IPL wicket

MI captain Rohit Sharma took a big risk when he handed the ball to Arjun during the 20th over of the innings and held his nerve to ensure MI’s third win in a row. But Arjun, on his second IPL appearance, repaid the trust Rohit showed in him as he come out with flying colors. He picked up his maiden IPL wicket to help MI beat SRH in the last-over thriller.
Arjun completed his role as a new-ball bowler, conceding 14 runs in two overs, Rohit called up Arjun for the final over of the match with SunRisers Hyderabad needing 20 runs to win. He dismissed Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar off the last ball of the game to help his side register a stunning 14-run win over SRH.
It was a big moment for Daddy Tendulkar, who had his eyes fixed on his son’s bowling, probably realizing what it has truly been for his family all those years during his glorious career with Team India.
Arjun Tendulkar Took His Father’s Revenge
While Arjun broke his father’s record by taking a wicket, he also took his father’s revenge during the game. Yes, you read that right.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the only bowler to dismiss Sachin Tendulkar for a duck in Ranji Trophy. Arjun Tendulkar dismissed Bhuvneshwar as his first IPL wicket. And interestingly, both instances have come at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Uppal in Hyderabad, 14 years apart!
