The much-talked about son of Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Tendulkar impressed heavily with an all-around performance against MIG Cricket Club.
In the second round Group A match of the 73rd Police Invitaional Shield cricket fray, Arjun Tendulkar clobbered a 31-ball-unbeaten-77 while he also managed to scalp three crucial wickets.
Organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association, this is the first cricketing affair in the city since the lockdown due to coronavirus that showed a ghastly apparition in Mumbai.
The 21-year-old strapping lad clobbered five fours and eight sixes en route to his solid 77. He took a special proclivity towards Hashir Dafedar and smacked him for five sixes in an over.
Other than Arjun’s special all-round showdown, a blistering 96 from opener Kevin Almeida and a scorching 112 from Pragnesh Kandillewar helped the cause of MIG.
Opting to bat first, MIG garnered an astonishing score of 385 runs from 45 overs. In response to that, Islam Gymkhana could only garner 191 runs before being skittled out in just 41.5 overs.
Ankush Jaiswal, Shreyas Gurav and Arjun Tendulkar managed to share nine wickets between them, with each of them picking up three wickets.
Arjun recently made his debut in the senior Mumbai team as he was a part of the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy before enlisting himself for the IPL auction.
Earlier bowling to Indian cricketers in the net and representing India U-19 are the notable feats achieved by him.
