England’s stellar comeback at Headingley kept the ongoing Ashes 2023 series alive going into the fourth Test match at Old Trafford. After a 2-wicket win at Edgbaston, followed by a 43-run win at Lord’s the Pat Cummins-led Australian cricket team was sitting comfortably at the driving seat hoping to seal the series, instead, Ben Stokes’ side made a roaring comeback at the Headingley Stadium in Leeds to give themselves a massive lifeline in their bid to turn the series around.

England was in dire straits at one point in the game, but an unbeaten 24-run partnership between Chris Woakes and Mark Wood finished the job for the hosts. Harry Brook also played a gritty knock of 75 runs in the second innings, helping England chase down a total of 251 runs on Day 4.

It has been an entertainment-packed series between England and Australia so far, filled with thrill, drama, and controversies.
