Gujarat Titans coach Ashish Nehra is celebrating his 44th birthday while his team is playing against Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing game at the Eden Gardens of Kolkatat. Ahead of the game, Nehra was seen in a great mood and was seen having a friendly banter with former Indian cricketer and commentator Murali Kartik, which left the latter in pain.

Ashish Nehra Hit Murali Karthik Jokingly And He Fell Down

Yes, while the hilarious act of Ashish Nehra left his fans and himself in splits, Kartik was seen in pain.

The hilarious incident took place when the match was delayed due to rain in Kolkata, however, the broadcasters showed the footage of the same during the fag end of the KKR’s innings.

In the viral video, Ashish Nehra and Murali Karthik can be seen having a discussion standing next to the pitch ahead of the KKR vs GT game where the Gujarat head coach hilariously attacked his former teammate. Though, Nehra did it jokingly but Karthik was seen in pain and he fell down to the ground. He was later helped in getting up, but Nehra couldn’t stop laughing.

The camera later panned towards the GT dug out after the footage was shown and Nehra was left in splits while Karthik, who was doing the commentary, was asked about the act, reacting to it, he said “unexplainable”.

Earlier, GT captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first against KKR. Asked to bat first at home, Rahmanullah Gurbaz played like a lone warrior as he led the charge for KKR single handedly amid no support from the other end. He played a stunning knock of 81 runs off just 39 balls. Later, Russell’s quickfire knock of 34 off 19 guided KKR to 179 for seven.
