Shahid Afridi Made An Unexpected Prediction Ahead Of ‘IND vs PAK’ Clash: The India-Pakistan game at the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 has got everyone talking about it for weeks. So much that even as the two teams were playing other nations last week – India were in Zimbabwe while Pakistan in the Netherlands – fans were mostly concerned about August 28, the blockbuster Sunday where the arch-rivals will clash in Dubai.
Dubai is the same venue where Pakistan thrashed India by 10 wickets last year at the T20 World Cup 2021. Such is the Asia Cup format this time that India and Pakistan could potentially play against each other thrice – including in the final, on September 11.

Shahid Afridi gives a perfect reply to India-Pakistan winner question

Always in the news for his streaky comments, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi recently hosted a Q&A session with his fans on Twitter where he was asked various types of questions.
One question, and an inevitable one, was about who is the stronger unit between India and Pakistan going into the Asia Cup 2022.
“Which is the stronger team in Pakistan Vs India match and who do you think will win? #AskLala” asked a fan.
Shahid Afridi, though, didn’t pick an outright winner; instead, the legendary all-rounder simply stated that whichever team makes fewer mistakes will come out trumps.
“Depends on who makes the least mistakes,” Shahid Afridi replied.

Overall, India hold an 8-5 record over Pakistan in Asia Cups, and have lost only once – in 2014 in Mirpur – to the Men In Green in Asia Cups in the last 12 years.
Afridi opines on Virat Kohli’s century rut
Shahid Afridi was also asked about Virat Kohli’s century drought which has now extended to over 1000 days.
“Virat Kholi Didn’t get a century from 1000+ Days. What’s your views on it?,” a fan queried.
Afridi reckoned: “Bare players ka mushkil waqt me hi pata chalta hai.” (the character of big players is revealed only in tough times).

It is high time that Virat Kohli comes true to his character and reputation as his place in India’s T20I line-up is on the line – at least, as it seems from the outside – and the Asia Cup brings a big occasion for him to step up with the bat ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022.
Both India and Pakistan have announced their squads:
