Asia Cup 2023: Irfan Pathan’s Tweet Has Triggered Pakistani Fans

Irfan Pathan Has Triggered Pakistani Fans With His Tweet: Even though the India vs Pakistan encounter of Group A in Asia Cup 2023 ended in a no result as rain didn’t relent after India’s innings, there was plenty of drama involved which gave the fans plenty of stuff to talk about.

After electing to bat first at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, India were rocked early on by Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf which had them in trouble at 66/4.

After that, however, the pair of Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan, who was playing out of his usual opening position and batted at number 5, forged a terrific, fighting partnership of 138 runs off 141 balls. Kishan smashed 9 fours and 2 sixes in his knock of 82 runs in 81 balls while Hardik smoked 7 fours and one six in his knock of 87 runs off 90 balls.

The Pakistani pacers retaliated once again and cleaned up India’s middle order and the tailenders, bowling the Men In Blue out for 266 runs with the pace trio of Shaheen, Rauf, and Naseem sharing all 10 Indian wickets to fall.

This was Kishan’s 4th consecutive ODI half-century and his 7th in 17 ODI innings, and it was Hardik Pandya’s 11th ODI fifty. At one stage, after early wickets, it looked like India would be bowled out for an under-par score. But the eventual total of 266 seemed par, and to some even above-par which would have ensured India’s victory given their strong bowling attack.

Irfan Pathan trolls padosis once again

One of those who felt that India had a winning total was former all-rounder Irfan Pathan. However, apart from his reaction on India’s total, Irfan Pathan also tweeted a specific tweet targetting the Pakistani fans, who got him a huge amount of reaction from the Pakistanis. This tweet from Irfan Pathan was about the famous events of Pakistani fans breaking their televisions after losses to India in the past.

“Bahot saare Padosiyon ke TV bach gaye aaj;),” Irfan Pathan tweeted after the match was called off.

This tweet got Irfan Pathan massively trolled and mocked by Pakistani fans while some Indian fans enjoyed and laughed at it.

About the match, in his subsequent tweet, the 38-year-old commentator said that India would have won comfortably with this total.

“21 overs 133 runs from spinners without a wicket was game changer. If India were bowling and Pakistan were 66/4 India would have kept fast bowling on as they had a liberty of 4 fast bowlers unlike Pakistan who were playing with 3. So I thought Team India would have been more disappointed with the rain after scoring above par score on that pitch which had variable bounce. #INDvsPAK” he tweeted.
