Axar Patel Highlights The Big Changes That Team India Will Have Under Gautam Gambhir: Indian Cricket Team won the T20 World Cup 2024 by registering a 7 runs win against South Africa in the final at Barbados. After that game, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20I cricket. It was also the final game for Rahul Dravid as the head Coach of team India. Under Dravid, the team has qualified for the semi final in the T20 World Cup 2022, the final of the WTC 2023, final of the ODI World Cup 2023 without losing any game. The Indian Cricket Team has won the Asia Cup 2023 and now manages to win the T20 World Cup 2024 under Dravid. So, it was definitely a happy ending for the legend.

Now, the BCCI has announced that Gautam Gambhir will become the new head coach of Team India right from the tour of Sri Lanka. He will have a contract till the end of the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2007. Gambhir has been one of the sharpest minds in Indian Cricket and has always led his team with passion. He led KKR to two IPL titles and now led KKR to IPL 2024 title by serving as the mentor. Everyone has a lot of expectations from the GG era in the Indian team and there will definitely be some big changes in the team.

Axar Patel Highlights The Big Changes That Team India Will Have Under Gautam Gambhir

Indian all-rounder Axar Patel welcomed Gambhir and is excited to work under him in the Indian Cricket Team. He feels that there will definitely some big changes in the team under Gautam Gambhir. Patel is looking forward to the first meeting that he has with him in the national team and looks for more young blood in the team under Gautam Gambhir.

“I have played against him in the IPL and now he’s coming in as coach so obviously excitement is there. His journey hasn’t started but I’m looking forward to it. There are going to be a lot of changes in the set-up, his mindset will be different so excited to see our new goals, the change in atmosphere,” Axar Patel told Times Now.

“Player roles could also be changed, especially in T20, with the retirement of Virat, Jadeja, and Rohit. A younger team will be put in place and we will see how he operates. New coach, new staff – very excited to see the changes and looking forward to the first meeting with him where there will be a lot of clarity,” Axar Patel said.
