The third match of the ongoing One Day International (ODI) match between India and Sri Lanka resulted in another defeat for Sri Lanka.

On this tour, India haven’t lost a match and it seems the trend will continue for the rest of the games. India once again bowled brilliantly and restricted Sri Lanka to a low total. Indian bowlers bowled well in partnership and kept taking wicket at regular intervals.

Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the Indian bowlers. He picked 5 wickets and didn’t allow Sri Lanka to find any sort of momentum in their innings.

Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Kedar Jadhav also chipped in with one wicket each. Axar Patel has been a good find for India. In the absence of Ravindra Jadeja, he has done a good job of keeping things tight in the middle overs and picking crucial wickets. He bowled full quota of his 10 overs and gave just 35 runs.

In the 44th over of the innings, Axar Patel dismissed Sri Lanka’s stand-in skipper Chamara Kapugedera. It was a very crucial wicket as Kapugedera is a very accomplished batsman and he could have scored some runs at the end of the innings.

On the last delivery of the over, Axar Patel outfoxed Kaupegedera by a bowling a full delivery that angled in with the arm. Kapugedera tried to hit the ball through the covers and played it onto the stumps.

In this way, Kapugedera went back with the pavilion with just  14 runs to his name, in his 101st ODI for Sri Lanka. Axar Patel and the entire Indian team celebrated the big wicket. But, it was Axar’s little dance performance in the middle that stood out.

Axar Patel can bowl. He can take wickets. He can bat, too. But he can dance, well he showed that too.
