Pakistan’s batting stalwart Babar Azam is turning out to be an impactful player in world cricket. His elegant batting style and delightful cover-drivers, he has earned praises from all corners around the world. At the moment, Babar Azam is regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world.
Though Babar Azam was dethroned from the 1st position in the ICC T20I Rankings for batsmen by Dawid Malan, he still continues to be in the top-five batsmen across the format.

Recently, Azam had a bad day at work as he was dismissed for just 10 runs off 17 balls against Gloucestershire on Tuesday in the ongoing Vitality Blast T20 league in England. Well, after scoring 42 runs in his first game for the side, Azam has been struggling to score runs and was looking far from his best.
Soon after his poor performance, Azam found himself at the receiving end of criticism and trolling on social media. In fact, Gloucestershire Cricket also took a hilarious dig at the Pakistan stalwart for his performance.

Gloucestershire Cricket via their official twitter handle shared a small clip of Azam’s performance against David Payne and took a hilarious dig at the Pakistan Stalwart.
In their tweet, Gloucestershire Cricket trolled Babar Azam by saying that the rankings don’t matter on the pitch. For the unversed, Azam is ranked second in the list of ICC T20I rankings while David Payne is yet to make his international debut. Taking a dig at Babar Azam, Gloucestershire wrote:
“Rankings don’t matter on the pitch. @DavidPayne_14 vs @babarazam258.”
