Pakistani skipper Babar Azam is one of the best batters of the current generation. The 27-year-old is in some stellar form ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. His side is touring Netherland for the three-match ODI series, where Babar has managed to score 131 runs in 2 games so far with the help of two fifties and an average of 65.50. He is striking the ball at 87.
Pakistan defeated Netherland in the first game by 16 games, while the second game was a comfortable win for Babar Azam’s side where they thrashed the host by 7 wickets.
Ahead of traveling to the UAE for the much-awaited Asia Cup 2022, the Pakistan cricket team will take on the Netherlands on Sunday in the third and final ODI match. While fans are waiting for Babar Azam’s performance, however, he is trending for an altogether different reason these days.
Well, following the win in the 2nd ODI against the Netherlands, Babar Azam was asked a few questions during the post-match presentation where he failed to speak fluent English. He had said:
“It was a good effort by the fast bowlers; they bowled well with the new ball. The spinners bowled well later on, so we were happy. In the morning, there was moisture on the pitch. That’s why I wanted to bowl first. The wicket was under cover yesterday, anyway credit to the pacers and the spinners. We are trying different combinations; Salman showed his class today. He played very well today, so looking forward to the next game,”
