Pakistan captain Babar Azam has managed to take his team through to the Asia Cup 2022 final however he was seen losing his cool during the game against Sri Lanka on Friday. Babar Azam even fumed at the on-field umpire after a DRS review was taken without him giving the nod.
Well, during the game between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the Pakistan cricket team was dismissed after putting up a total of 121 runs on the board as Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana and Pramod Madushan bowled some amazing spells.
Chasing the target, the Sri Lankans started on the worst possible note by losing Kusal Mendis, Danushka Gunathilaka, and Dhananjaya de Silva for 0, 0, and 5 runs respectively. However, Pathum Nissanka slammed an unbeaten 55 runs, with Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Dasum Shanaka playing some important cameos.

As the game continued to slip away from Pakistan’s grip, Babar Azam was seen losing his cool. His frustration peaked in the 16th over of the game when the umpire signaled the third umpire for a DRS despite Azam not making any request.
Well, it was Pakistan wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan, who made a strong appeal for caught-behind on the bowling of Hasan Ali. The umpire said not out. Babar Azam was furious to see the umpire going upstairs, despite not signaling for DRS. Frustrated by this, he went to the umpire and told him “Main Kaptaan hun (I am the captain).”

Meanwhile, the Babar Azam-led side ended up losing the review as there was no contact between the bat and the ball. In the end, Sri Lanka won the match by 5 wickets. Pakistan would now be hoping for their fortunes to turn as the two teams will lock their horns once-again in the title-decider of the Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday.
