India and Pakistan cricket teams are all set to kickstart their campaign in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022, with a high-octane clash tonight (on August 28th). The last time both the teams locked horns with each other, Pakistan ended their 29-year-old drought of World Cup win over India. The virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team had suffered an embarrassing 10-wicket defeat at the hands of Pakistan.
Now ten months later, both sides are all set to revive that age-old rivalry again on the cricket field and fans are waiting anxiously for the thriller to begin. However, this time the Pakistan side is without the services of their sensational bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was the star of the match last time. He spelled magic with the ball as he dismissed Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul to set the tone for his side.

Though, Shaheen’s presence will be missed badly by Pakistan, but there are other capable layers in the side who can get the best of this opportunity and deliver. On Saturday, ahead of the match, Babar Azam gave an encouraging speech to his teammates, where he reminded his squad of their historic achievement last year.
Babar told his teammates to recall that T20 World Cup match in a bid to remember how the team had geared up for it. He also urged his bowling unit to not make them feel the absence of Shaheen, who has been ruled out because of a knee injury. He said:
“Iss body language se khelna hai jaise humlog khelte aa rahe hai, jaise humlogo ne World Cup mai khela tha. Uss game ko yaad karo, peeche jaake yaad karo. Yaad karoge toh saare cheeje yaad aa jayega, woh preparation yaad aa jayega. Achi preparation wahi hogi jo aap idhar karte ho wohi udhr jaake apply hogi. Toh result zarur ayegi. Believe rakho. I know humhara main fast bowler nahi hai, but uska kami mehsus mat hone dena, fast bowlers especially. Wish you all the best!”
