Babar Azam Hilariously Threatens Rizwan At PSL Trophy Unveiling

Mohammad Rizwan, a teammate and close friend of former Pakistan captain Babar Azam, playfully inquired about Babar’s marital plans, asking, “Apki Shadi kab ho rahi ha? (When are you getting married?)”

Babar responded swiftly with a humorous quip, saying, “tu mjhy akely ma mil phrr btau ga (you meet me alone, I’ll tell you).”

PSL 2024 will kick off on February 17, starting with a match between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium. The final match of the 2024 edition is scheduled for March 18 at the National Stadium in Karachi.

In another incident from the trophy unveiling ceremony of the upcoming PSL season 9 on February 17, all six team captains were present. After the event, as Mohammad Rizwan was leaving the Lahore Stadium, eager fans approached him for selfies. To divert their attention and lighten the situation, Rizwan playfully pointed behind him, exclaiming, ‘Wo Dekho Babar Azam’ (See There is Babar Azam). The fans enjoyed his witty attempt to evade the selfie requests, and the video quickly went viral on social media.

It’s instances like these that highlight the fun and lighter side of cricket beyond the intense on-field competition.
