Bangalore Has A Road Named On Ab De Villiers

AB de Villiers is undoubtedly one of the finest cricketers to have graced the game. The 37-year-old is still going strong and is on top of his game, helping the Royal Challengers Bangalore register four wins on the trot. His popularity in Bangalore is second to none. The dynamic South African wicket-keeper batsman has been at RCB since 2011 and has gone on to become a fan favourite courtesy of some stupendous performances for the franchise over the years.




“Mr. 360” has played 145 matches for RCB and has amassed 4303 runs at an impressive strike rate of 160. He is the second-most capped player in the history of the franchise and has been retained by the franchise before every mega-auctions.

 

He is loved so much by the fans so much that a fan has named an unnamed road after ABD in Bangalore.  The road has been named as ‘AB de Villiers ROAD’ and can be found upon zooming a region near Rajaji Nagar in Bangalore. The road has not been officially named by the govt but a fan who wanted to show his appreciation for the efforts that de Villiers has put in over the years for the franchise.




 

RCB currently sit top of the points table with four wins out of four matches played so far. The credit of 2 of those wins goes directly to ABD. He helped them chase down a tricky total in their first game against Mumbai at Chennai and hammered a 34 ball 76 to set up a winning total for the team against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Chennai last Sunday. He currently has 125 runs to his name from 3 innings played so far. De Villiers will be keen to add to his tally as RCB takes on CSK in a top of the table clash at the Wankhede.
