BCCI Announces The Complete Schedule Of India’s Home Series Against Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Australia

On Thursday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for India’s upcoming home series against Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia. After the conclusion of the ongoing Bangladesh tour, the Indian cricket team will take part in three back-to-back home series and will host the likes of Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Australia.

The Men in Blue will commence their home assignments with a  three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka starting January 3 followed by a three-match ODI series. The matches will be played in Mumbai, Pune, Rajkot, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Trivandrum respectively.

Trivandrum

Following the T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka, the Indian cricket team will lock horns against New Zealand starting January 18 in Hyderabad. Team India will also play a three-match T20I series against New Zealand which begins on January 27.

Australia will travel to India for the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which will kickstart in Nagpur on February 9. The four-match Test series will be absolutely crucial for both India and Australia as it is a chance for both teams to qualify for the World Test Championship final next year in Lord’s. Notably, this will also be the last edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which will feature four matches. 

India and Australia will then play a 3-match ODI series that will be held in Mumbai, Vizag and Chennai on March 17, 19, and 22 respectively.
