BCCI Annual Awards 2018-19: Complete List Of Winners

On Sunday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) celebrated the success of leading Men and Women cricketers along with the match-officials, state associations as well as former cricketers, by giving away its BCCI annual awards.

Vidarbha cricket team dominated domestic cricket during the course of 2018-19, where they won a number of tournaments and leagues including Ranji Trophy, Men U23 One Day, Vinoo Mankad Trophy and the Irani Cup.

Talking about the top cricketers who made up to the awards, Mayank Agarwal, who amassed 872 runs at a strike rate of 67.07 with 3 Centuries and 3 Half Centuries in nine Tests was honored with a trophy and a cheque of Rs.5 lakhs.

Shefali Verma, the 15-year-old young cricketer, who scored 222 runs at a strike rate of 27.75 with 2 half-centuries in nine T20s also was awarded a trophy and a cheque of Rs.5 lakhs.

Smriti Mandhana and Jhulam Goswami were the two leading ladies who ended the highest wicket-taker and run-getter in ODIs of the past year. They were honored with a trophy for the same. Poonam Yadav, the leg spinner was conferred with the best Women cricketer of the year.

Talking about the men’s side, Jasprit Bumrah, the sensational Indian bowler, who recently won the Arjuna Award has been honored with the Polly Umrigar Award for his brilliant performances across all formats of the game.
