BCCI Issued A Stern Warning To Team India Because Of Rohit And Virat: Leading the series 2-1, the Indian cricket team has already kickstarted their preparations for the upcoming rescheduled fifth against England, which is all set to kickstart from July 1 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Team India is sweating it out in London ahead of the much-awaited Test match.

Rohit And Virat Clicked Pictures With Fans

In the viral pictures, both the cricketing superstars can be seen posing for pictures with fans without a mask. While the COVID-19 situation is not too bad in the UK, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) doesn’t want to repeat the mistake of last year, which had led to the postponement of the Test series.

For the unversed, when the Indian side was touring England in 2021, a few members of the team had attended a book launch event and ubsequently tested positive for Covid. In fact, the physio of Team India had also contracted the virus, to make the situation got out of hand and the final game of the 5-match series had to be postponed indefinitely.

BCCI Has Issued A Stern Warning

Meanwhile, in order to not repeat the mistakes of last year, the BCCI has issued a stern warning to the players of the Indian cricket team. The BCCI had asked the players to avoid crowded places but after the pictures of Indian players went viral on the internet, the BCCI had warned the whole squad about the same.

“The Covid threat is reduced in the UK. But still players should be more careful. We will ask the team to be a little careful,” Arun Dhumal, BCCI treasurer, was quoted as saying by InsideSport.
