Stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane, after leading team India to a historic win at the Gabba, addressed the team in the dressing room after the visitors defeated Australia in the final Test match by three wickets to win the series. Rahane came up with special words while lauding Kuldeep Yadav.

During the just-concluded 4-match Test series, team India fielded 20 different players however, Kuldeep Yadav didn’t get a single game to showcase his talent. But Rahane was all praises for him and lauded him infront of everyone in the dressing room moments after India’s historic victory at the Gabba.

Rahane lauded Kuldeep Yadav for maintaining his composure despite not getting any chances in the playing XI against Australia. Rahane said:

“Kuldeep, I know it was tough for you. You did not play a game here, but your attitude was really good. Your time will come; just keep working hard.”

Rahane also lauded the performances of Indian cricketers for showing immense courage and spirit. He also praised the way India made a strong comeback after facing a humiliating defeat of 36 run-out and termed the series as a ‘massive moment’ for all the players. He said:

“What happened in Adelaide, how we came back from Melbourne onwards was really good to see. Everyone did their effort, everyone contributed, it was not about one or two individuals.”

He added:

“Guys, the courage, resolve, and spirit you have shown, it is unreal. Not for once, you were down. Injuries, 36 all out, but you had the belief. It does not come overnight; it takes a period of time. Now you have the self-belief. Not just India, the whole world will stand up and salute you today”

“Remember what you guys have done today, enjoy as much as you can. Everybody has been outstanding. It started in Melbourne, Sydney was fantastic, and the honours were even coming into this Gabba Test.”
