Best Overseas IPL XI Which Can Beat Indian T20 Team

India might not have won the T20 World Cup in the last 12 years, but there is no denying that the fact that the Indian team is still a force in the shortest format of the game and can beat any T20I side in the world on their day.

While India is a very strong force in international T20 cricket, they are certainly not unbeatable either, as they also have some loopholes in their squad.  Here is an XI of the overseas IPL cricketers which can beat the Indian T20I team –

#1 Openers (David Warner, Jos Buttler):

David Warner is the most successful overseas batsman in the history of the IPL and he has been equally effective for Australia in international T20 cricket as well.

Warner would form a lethal opening pair with Jos Buttler who generally plays in the middle order in Test and ODI cricket, but opens the batting in T20 cricket for both his national team England and his IPL team Rajasthan Royals.

#2 Middle order (Jonny Bairstow, AB de Villiers, Ben Stokes, Glenn Maxwell)

Bairstow would, otherwise, have opened with David Warner, but since Buttler is there to open the batting, Bairstow would bat at no. 3.

While Bairstow is good enough to find the gaps through the field, his real strength is his power game. He can put the ball into the stands with ease. If he is batting at no. 3 and AB de Villiers, with his 360 degree game, is batting at no. 4, the tempo of the innings is unlikely to dip at any stage.

Ben Stokes is one of the best finishers in white ball cricket at the moment and he is very capable of finding the boundaries towards the end of the innings with Glenn Maxwell who also hits the ball in unusual areas of the ground like De Villiers.

#3 All-rounders (Colin de Grandhomme, Rashid Khan)

Colin de Grandhomme is an ideal fit to bat at no. 7 because he has got only one gear in his batting. He is at his best when he walks out with a clear mind of going after the bowling. If he is batting in the last 4 or 5 overs of the innings, he can make a huge difference.

Rashid Khan is in the XI for his leg spin bowling and for making the inroads with the ball in the middle phase of the innings, but if the need arises, he can also hit a few lusty blows with the bat. Rashid doesn’t have a very conventional batting style, but he is a decent timer of the ball.

#4 Bowlers (Pat Cummins, Jofra Archer, Lasith Malinga)

Pat Cummins and Malinga would share the new ball and would try to swing it upfront, while Jofra will bowl first change and would try and be an enforcer with his pace. 10 great bowlers and their most feared batsmen

Jofra and Malinga would then bowl in the death as well, while Cummins would finish his quota before the 17th over. With this pace trio and Rashid as the specialist spinner, there is never going to be a respite for the batting team.
