Bhuvneshwar Kumar Reveals Arshdeep Singh’s Biggest Strength: Arshdeep Singh has impressed one and all with his blockbuster start to his international career. He played a crucial role in India’s 68-run victory over West Indies in the first T20I at Brian Lara Stadium, Trinidad on July 29th.

Arshdeep Singh Made A Solid Start To His International Career

After his brilliant performance in the 2019 Under-19 World Cup, Arshdeep played four seasons for the Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League before he received a call from the BCCI to represent the Indian cricket team at the international level.

Arshdeep made his debut in the national colors for the first time on the tour of England earlier this year. On Friday, during India’s 68-run victory over Windies in the first T20I, Arshdeep returned with the figures of 2 for 24 in his four overs as team India restricted the hosts to 122/8 while defending a total of 190.

Meanwhile, ahead of the second T20I games, veteran India seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar lauded Arshdeep Singh, saying he is surprised by the maturity shown by his young new-ball partner. Bhuvneshwar Kumar hailed Arshdeep for his consistent performances. He said:

“The best thing about him is that he knows exactly what is required,” Bhuvneshwar told reporters on Sunday (July 31).

“What kind of field setting is needed, how to bowl to each batsman – very few newcomers display that kind of maturity,”

This was Arshdeep Singh’s second game for team India, having made his T20I debut against England in Southampton last month. In his debut match, he registered the figures of 2 for 18 in his 3.3 overs.

Considering his IPL performances, followed by an impressive debut for the Indian cricket team, Arsjdeep has strengthened his claims for the T20 World Cup 2022 selection. Talking about the same, Bhuvi said:

“Usually you learn these things as you play but he seems to have arrived with that kind of maturity,”

Even in the IPL in the last couple of years, he has performed consistently. He knows exactly what he wants to do, he thinks a lot about his game.”
