Cricket fans across the world are excited about the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series between India and Australia. The last time Australia toured India to play Test cricket, there was a lot of drama, action and fans got to witness top class cricket from two of the best sides in the world.
Australia lost the series but they put a brave show and managed to cause some trouble to India in their own backyard. However, the upcoming tour will be a different ball game Australia are a good ODI team and defending World Champions.
Before the start of the series, Australia will play a match against Board Presidents XI to get used to the condition and warm up for the big series. The Board President XI squad was announced on Thursday and it includes a lot of young rising cricketers who did well in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for their respective franchises.
The likes of Nitish Rana, Mayank Agarwal, Sandeep Sharma, Washington Sundar and other young cricketers have been named in this squad. This is a good move the board because these players need exposure and playing against a full strength Australian team will be one of the biggest moments of their lives.
The match will take place in Chennai on September 12.

However, the captain of the side hasn’t been named yet, but some media houses are reporting that it will be Gurkeerat Mann who will lead the side because he the senior most player in the squad.
Former Indian cricketer and the coach of TNPL champions Chepauk Super Gillies, Hemang Badani will coach the side.
