BookMyShow Finally Breaks Silence On ODI World Cup 2023 Tickets Chaos

BookMyShow has finally taken to Twitter to pen a heartfelt note for the fans, who were left disappointed all over the World when they could not book tickets for India games for the upcoming World Cup 2023 despite fans logging in promptly at 8 PM.

BookyMyShow Issued An Apology

Notably, the bookings for tickets for India games opened from August 30th but because of the huge demand for the tickets, fans could not get hold of tickets. As a result, fans on social media slammed the BookMyShow platform and the BCCI.

After receiving backlash from the fans, the BookMyShow took to their official social media handle and released an official statement regarding all the chaos. The statement read:

 “The love for cricket in our country has always been unparalleled, and it has been no different these past few days as several million fans logged onto BookmyShow, all at once, to get hands-on limited tickets for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

We understand that not all fans had an easy time, expressing quees and eventfully heartbreak in their attempt to book tickets. In a country like India, which is deeply passionate about cricket, the demand is always massive as scores of fans try to book tickets with queues naturally tending to be long. While it is always a race against time to get access to this cricketing extravaganza, we are striving to be able to give you a fighting chance to get access to the tickets.”

How to book ODI World Cup 2023 Tickets?

The 2023 ODI World Cup in India is scheduled to be played across 10 cities from October 5 to November 19.  While several tickets have already been sold, including India’s games at Guwahati, Trivandrum, Chennai, Delhi, and Pune on August 30 and 31. According to the website, the tickets for 25 World Cup games have already been sold out.

September 1: India’s games at Mumbai, Lucknow and Dharamsala

September 2: India’s games at Kolkata and Bengaluru

September 3: India’s games at Ahmedabad, including India vs Pakistan

September 15: Semifinals and final

You can book the tickets for the marquee tournament by following these steps:

– Visit the official website of BookMyShow.
– Click on the venue of your choice under ‘Find matches by venue.’
– Select the game you want to buy tickets for.
– Click on the ‘Book’ option displayed on the screen.
– A login prompt will appear, allowing you to log in if you have an account or you can sign up to create an account.
– Choose the number of seats you require.
– Select the desired seating area.
– Click on the ‘Book’ button.
– Provide the address for the home delivery of tickets and enter personal details.
– Complete the payment process to book your tickets.
