MS Dhoni fans were desperately waiting for IPL 2020. It would have seen the return of MS Dhoni on the cricket field and there was huge excitement among the fans for his return as he hasn’t played any cricket since ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand.  IPL 2020 was scheduled to begin from March 29th with  Chennai Super Kings taking on Mumbai Indians in the season-opener, and there was a lot excitement among Dhoni fans for this game.

But due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, in all likelihood, IPL 2020 will be canceled and the wait is only going to get longer for Dhoni fans as India is under complete lockdown for 21 days and all the efforts are being to save Indian from the corona pandemic. Presently, it would be utterly foolish to even think about IPL 2020 because the only battle we need to fight right now is–the fight against coronavirus.

Former Australian cricketer and commentator, Brad Hogg while interacting with his fans and followers on Twitter, spoke about MS Dhoni’s future when one of his followers asked: “Should MS Dhoni retire from international cricket?”

Brad Hogg is one of the best chinaman spinners in cricket’s history said that MS Dhoni might not announce it anytime as he seems pretty calm about things. He also added that Dhoni might have one more burst in the next 2 years for India.

“Speculation, I don’t think he will announce it, he seems pretty calm about things & moves onto the next thing he needs to accomplish. It’s been an entertaining career, let’s enjoy what he has done! I feel he may have one more burst in the next 2 years for India.”
