The shortest format of the game, T20 cricket began in the year 2003 has gained so much popularity over the last few years. However, so far, not a single player has been able to score a double century in the shortest format of the international game. Aaron Finch’s 172 off 76 balls against Zimbabwe is the highest individual score in the t20s.
Not just this, but Aaron Finch’s 156 off 63 against England in 2013 is the third-highest score in T20 cricket. While Aaron Finch has got a stupendous form when it comes to t20 format, West Indies legend Chris Gayle is also a true superstar of this format. Chris Gayle has over 12,000 runs with 22 hundred to his name. Chris Gayle has the highest score of 175* playing for the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore.
While these two continue to be the two greatest stars of T20 cricket, former Australian all-rounder Brad Hogg has named an Indian cricketer who he thinks can score a double century in the T20 format of the game.
Well, recently a Twitter user asked Brad Hogg about who will be the first player to smash a double century in the T20 format. The Twitter user wrote:

Brad Hogg was quick to take notice of the tweet and come up with a reply. In his reply, Brad Hogg named none other than Rohit Sharma, as the cricketer who can record the first-ever double century in the T20 format. Brad Hogg wrote:
“Rohit Sharma at presently is the only player I think capable of it. Good strike rate, all timing, and plays cricketing shots finding six options all around the ground”

Talking about Rohit Sharma, he made his debut in T20 cricket in the year 2007 against England. So far, he has played 94 T20Is for India and has scored 2,331 with an average of 32.37 and a strike rate of 137.68, including four centuries and 16 half-centuries.
