Brad Hogg Talks About The Rift Between Dinesh Karthik And Andre Russell

Kolkata Knight Riders have made some exciting signings and have got a new think tank in place headed by coach Brendon McCullum for the upcoming edition of the league. Led by Dinesh Karthik, Kolkata Knight Riders will be hoping to win their third IPL trophy in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, which will be played in UAE from September 19 to November 10.

Recently, Brad Hogg reckoned that there’s one flaw in the team led by Dinesh Karthik. He revealed that things are not well between Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Dinesh Karthik and big-hitter Andre Russell.
Well, it all started after one of KKR’s match last year when Andre Russell had questioned the logic behind the team’s decision to send him to bat lower down the order.

Recently, while interacting on his official Youtube channel ‘Hogg’s Vlog’, Brad Hogg went on to say that while KKR looks promising, they need to ensure that the issue between both the cricketers is resolved. He said:
“What is the one flaw in this team? There is only one – the relationship between Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik. We can’t have Andre Russell come out in the media after the game and say we didn’t make the right decisions. That’s got to be done behind closed doors,”

Furthermore, Brad Hogg said that the head coach of the team Brendon McCullum should resolve the matter between the two as it can have a ripple effect on the team. He said:
“Brendon McCullum has to make sure he rectifies that relationship, gets on top of it early, because, if there is a little bit of disharmony in this line-up, it can have a ripple effect in a bio-secure environment, and things can get out of hand very quickly,”
Meanwhile, as per the fixtures released by the BCCI, KKR will take on defending champions Mumbai Indians on the 23rd of September in their first IPL game Currently, the KKR squad is staying at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal.
