Pat Cummins, the Australian pacer, has been among the leading wicket-takers in the world. His impressive performances have helped him flourish as a vital asset for his national side. Yesterday, the talented speedster had set the IPL 2020 auctions on ablaze.

On Thursday, Pat Cummins created history by becoming the most expensive overseas player. With the base price of Rs. 2 crores, has been sold to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs. 15.5 crore in the IPL 2020 auction in Kolkata.

Brendon McCullum Gave A Cheeky Reply To Pat Cummins’ Tweet After KKR Bought Him For INR 15.5 Crores

After he was bought in by the Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 15.5 crore, the head coach of KKR, Brendon McCullum welcomed both the players who were bagged by KKR. Welcoming both the cricketers to his side, McCullum wrote:

“Two outstanding gentlemen will return to @KKRiders! @Eoin16 with his power middle-order game & outstanding leadership help for @DineshKarthik & one of the game’s premier fast bowlers @patcummins30 who I feel was the best player on offer for this years@IPL auction Welcome boys!”

Pat Cummins was quick to notice the tweet and come up with a response. While showing his excitement for donning the KKR jersey, Cummins wrote:

“Can’t wait Baz,”

However, Brendon McCullum came up with a cheeky reply to Pat Cummins’ tweet. In his reply, Brendon advised Pat to rest for the remaining New Zealand Test series so that he can give his best in IPL. He wrote:

“Think you should rest the remainder of the Nz Test series to make sure you will be in peak condition for the @ipl!!”
