Former Australian cricketer and one of the best fast bowlers in the history of the game, Brett Lee is in India to be a part of the second season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).

Lee is regarded as one of the fastest bowlers in cricket history and his achievements are extraordinary. Lee’s biggest strength was to swing the ball both ways at 90 miles per hour, and this made his one of the toughest bowlers to face.

Brett Lee, who was present at the opening ceremony of TNPL’ second season, said that crowd’s ‘Dhoni Dhoni’ chant when the former Indian captain stepped on the field, was a great spectacle. Lee said that Indian cricket is moving forward in the right direction. The speedster recalled how the Indian cricket fans started ‘Sachin Sachin’ chant and with time, they also started chanting ‘Dhoni Dhoni’. He also added that Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, who is one of the best batsmen in world cricket, has now taken over and now wherever India plays, fans greet him with ‘Kohli Kohli’ chant.

Lee also narrated the incident when Virat Kohli gave a signed Test jersey for his son, who is a huge fan of the Indian captain.

“My 10-year-old son’s favourite batsman is Virat Kohli. Once, when Kohli walked past me and we shook hands, I told him that you are my son’s favourite batsman. Kohli showed a great gesture when he gave my son one of his Test shirts signed – with best wishes Kohli,” Lee said.

Lee also interacted with a group of students in Tamil Nadu and passed one some valuable advice.

“Never settle for something you don’t believe in.” Lee said while addressing the students.
