‘Brother, my English is finished now. Okay?’: Naseem Shah Gave An Epic Response To A Reporter

The Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team will return to action with the historic home Test series against England, which is all set to kickstart on December 1. It has to be noted that the England cricket team will be playing a Test series in Pakistan after a long gap of 17 years. England last played a Test match on Pakistan soil in the year 2005, which they lost by 2-0. However, England played a seven-match T20I series in the country here in September-October, which they won by 4-3.

Meanwhile, ahead of the much-awaited series, Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah left the journalists in splits with his epic response about his English language comprehension.

Yes, Naseem Shah addressed the press conference ahead of the first Test in Rawalpindi, where he was asked a lot of questions on multiple topics leading up to the series. During the conference, a reporter asked him about the legendary pacer James Anderson, who still remains England’s primary fast bowler even at age 40. Speaking about the English legend, Naseem was all praise for him. He said:

“It’s a very big achievement because I’m a fast bowler, I know how hard it is. He’s a legend, we learn a lot of things from him. When we meet, we discuss about this. He’s still playing at 40, he’s still fit, so you can imagine how much hard work he’s putting,”

Further, the reporter asked Naseem about his opinion on the ‘pace vs skills’ debate, insisting how Anderson doesn’t possess the same speed as before, he has still got the skills. Responding to the same, Naseem Shah made a hilarious remark about his English. He said:

“Brother, I have just 30 percent English. My English is finished now, okay?”

However, the journalist refined his question and Naseem insisted that a massive amount of experience has helped Anderson understand the game better. He said:

“I told you, he’s the legend. He knows everything. He knows how to take wickets because he has played cricket everywhere in the world. That’s why he’s one of the best bowlers in the world,”

Meanwhile, the upcoming three-match Test series between Pakistan and England is very crucial as it is a part of the ICC World Test Championship’s cycle. The series is scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi (December 1-5), Multan (December 9-13), and Karachi (December 17-21).
