There has been plenty of buzz surrounding the future of two of the most dynamic cricketers — MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers. While MS Dhoni’s future in cricket has become one of the most discussed things in the cricket world. MS Dhoni hasn’t featured for team India since the semi-final loss of India during the 2019 World Cup. However, the fact that he still hasn’t retired from the game keeps the speculations about his comeback alive.

On the other hand, it has been a complete opposite case with the former South African skipper AB de Villiers, who donned the national jersey again despite retiring in 2018 but unlike Dhoni, he himself has been keeping the idea of an international return alive.

Recently, Aakash Chopra during his show AakashVaani, gave his opinion about the international return of MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers. Talking about it, he said:

“When it comes to MS Dhoni, only he knows. There is nothing to talk about his form, because he hasn’t played for a year now and what to say about form? I don’t think his comeback is dependent on IPL,”

He added:

“ABD’s form is still very good. His whole comeback has been facilitated. Sooner than later, you will see him playing again. If the T20 World Cup happens this year, you can see him (playing for South Africa) this year, or if it happens in 2021, then next year. I don’t think there is any problem. ABD, no doubt, he will be playing international cricket sooner than later,”

Meanwhile, both the cricketers were all set to play for their respective IPL teams — RCB and CSK in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, which was suspended because of the Coronavirus pandemic. However, the much-awaited league is all set to start in September.
