The third and final encounter is scheduled to take place in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. On his way to the venue, Sri Lanka all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne got clicked with Kohli and shared a heartwarming message for the former Indian captain.
Chamika took to his social media and shared a picture with Kohli along with a heartfelt caption to it, that read: “People say it’s arrogance, they say it’s for the cameras, some say it’s for the show. Talking about the ongoing ODI series, it got off to a great start for Virat Kohli, who played a sensational knock of 113 runs off 83 deliveries to reach his 45th ODI century. However, he was dismissed for four runs in the 2nd ODI match in Kolkata, unable to make an impact. On the other hand, Chamika Karunaratne, he has scored 31 runs in 2 games and has picked up 3 wickets.
On Sunday, both teams will be back in play in Thiruvananthapuram. Sri Lanka will hope to bounce back in the game to avoid a complete whitewash in the series.
