Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are three of the best captains India have ever had. While Ganguly and Dhoni won many trophies for India, Kohli is still young but the way he has led India across all three formats of the game, it would be fair to say that he is on the right path to achieve something spectacular.

In this post, we will tell you a startling co-incidence that binds these three great leaders of India cricket.

MS Dhoni

Out of these three, MS Dhoni is the most successful in terms of winning trophies. As Indian captain, Dhoni won almost everything that was there to win. His journey started with the inaugural ICC World T20 in 2007 and finished with ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.

Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly didn’t win as many ICC trophies but his contribution to Indian cricket is unparalleled. He helped cricketers like Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh and many others by giving them confidence and allowing to express themselves freely in the middle. Many believe that Indian cricketers were known as subdued cricketers before Ganguly took over. But, the prince of Kolkata led Indian cricket very aggressively and turned India into one of the most aggressive sides in the world.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is also a bit like Ganguly. He is a very aggressive leader who allows his teammates to play as freely and aggressively as they want to.  Many believe that Kohli will lead Indian cricket for many more years to come and achieve many spectacular things on a cricket field.
