IPL 2020: Two of the most popular franchises in the Indian Premier League history, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have had contrasting fortunes in the tournament. While Chennai Super Kings have won the title thrice and qualified for the playoffs in all the seasons that they have played, Royal Challengers are yet to win their first IPL championship. Besides, they had finished last in IPL 2019.
Although the Bangalore-based franchise looks weak on the basis of its performances, there is no doubt over the fact that they have one of the strongest line-ups in the tournament. With the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers present in the squad, RCB has the caliber to defeat any opposition.
They have had quite a rivalry with Chennai Super Kings thus far in the IPL. The cricket universe is always excited to see the clash of the two most famous teams and their captains, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. Talking about IPL 2020, Royal Challengers Bangalore have built a star-studded squad once again by signing the likes of Aaron Finch, Chris Morris, and Kane Richardson. On the other hand, CSK raised a few eyebrows by hunting for Sam Curran and Piyush Chawla in the auction. It will be interesting to see which team wins the first IPL of the new decade.
