Chennai Super Kings Will Release 5 Big Players Today For IPL 2020

IPL 2020 auctions are just a few days away. Kolkata will be hosting the auctions on 19 December 2019. Ahead of the auctions, Chennai Super Kings are likely to release their star players like Kedar Jadhav, Ambati Rayudu, Murali Vijay among other well-known cricketers.

As per a report by My Khel, Chennai Super Kings have decided to let go of some of their star players including Ambati Rayudu, who turned out to be the star performer of IPL 2018 and also their leading batsman Kedar Jadhav. Murali Vijay, who hardly got an opportunity last year with the presence of Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson, is also all set to go for the auctions.

If reports are to be believed than Kedar Jadhav and Ambati Rayudu are being released so that they can be fetched again at a cheaper price.

Apart from these three-star players, Chennai Super Kings will also release pacer Shardul Thakur and leg-spinner Karn Sharma. While Thakur leaked runs at crucial stages in the previous season, the leg-spinner Karn Sharma didn’t even get the opportunity to showcase his talent.

Also, this time the franchise is also looking into the payouts for the respective cricketers. Chennai Super Kings picked Karn for INR 5 Crore in 2018 whereas Thakur joined the team for INR 2 Crores.
