Chris Gayle Has Triggered A Huge Controversy On Twitter: Ever since the New Zealand cricket team abandoned their tour of Pakistan, social media has been divided into two parts. The visitors called off the series in Pakistan abruptly without a ball being bowled, just before the first ODI in Rawalpindi over after a “government security alert”. The sudden move sparked anger among many current and former players.

While the entire cricketing fraternity is still coming to grips with the decision of the New Zealand cricket team to abandon their limited-overs tour against Pakistan, Chris Gayle stirred a debate while trying to lift the spirits of hisPakistani fans.

Chris Gayle, who is known for his jolly nature and for seeing the positive side of things even in the toughest situations, stirred a controversy with his latest Tweet. On Sunday, he took to his Twitter and extended his support behind Pakistan in its time of need. In his Tweet, in a jest, said he is willing to travel to Pakistan. He wrote:

“I’m going to Pakistan tomorrow, who coming with me?”

The Tweet went viral in no time and was flooded with mixed reactions from the fans to it. While the Pakistan cricket fans were left in awe of the modern legend and appreciated him for supporting the country. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also retweeted his Tweet from their official handle. Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir, too reacted to the West Indies’ opener’s comment.
