The ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle got nostalgic and was missing the epic RCB trio he formed with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers as he posted a nostalgic poster of the three superstar RCB players and wrote an emotional caption.

Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, and AB de Villiers formed one of the most famous cricketing triokas during their time together in the IPL from 2011 to 2017. In 2018, Chris Gayle was released, and in 2021 AB de Villiers retired, while Virat Kohli is in the last phase of his career.

In his Insta story with a poster of himself alongside Kohli and ABD, Gayle captioned, “Give the ppl what they want.. RCB”

Chris Gayle featured in 84 matches for RCB, cracking 3163 runs with five centuries and 19 fifties. AB de Villiers amassed 4491 runs in 144 innings for RCB at an average of 41, raising two huundreds and 37 half-centuries.

Despite their great batting feats, this famed trio failed to win even a single IPL trophy. They reached the final twice, in 2011 and 2016, but lost to CSK in 2011 final and SRH in 2016 final. Gayle and ABD are retired from the IPL, while Virat Kohli continues his hunt for the coveted IPL trophy.
