Chris Gayle is one of the most dangerous and destructive batsmen in cricket’s history. In his long and glorious international career, Gayle destroyed almost every bowling attack he played against and entertained cricket fans across the world with his clean and big-hitting.

Chris Gayle is one of those very few players who made a big impact in Test cricket, without making any change to their aggressive style of batting. Gayle belongs to that rare league of cricketers who conquered Test cricket by attacking and not defending.

“A Lot Of People Still Want To See Chris Gayle Out In The Middle”

Recently, Chris Gayle spoke to media in Bangladesh and said that he wants to keep playing franchise cricket. Gayle, who is popularly known as ‘Universe Boss’ is one of the most demanded players across all domestic T20 leagues and it would fair to say that he has made a massive contribution in making T20 leagues popular.

The swashbuckling hitter said that his fans want to see him in the middle and he still has a lot of love and passion for the game of cricket. Gayle also said that it be “nice” to play in the next ICC T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place later this year.

“A lot of people still want to see Chris Gayle out in the middle. I still have that love for the game and that passion for the game. I would love to carry on as long as possible in T20 and franchise cricket as well. I still play a few games her. It would be nice (to play in the next T20 WC). Like I said the door is open for a chance.

It is my duty to keep an eye on all the players: Rohit Sharma

Let’s see what happens. We have some bright youngsters as well. I have left the option open to hear back to my family as well and see where the universe boss is going in whichever way… because I still think I have a lot to offer,” Chris Gayle was quoted as saying by ESPNCricinfo.

In his trademark ‘happy and chilling’ style, Chris Gayle said that he wants to play competitive cricket till he is 45 years old.

“Forty-five is a good number. Let’s talk at 45. I think that’s a good number and my first number. I just think I am on the slow side a bit. You know, plan my life ahead. It’s been 20 years of international cricket and 20 years of cricket in general. So there is always life after cricket and this is the time where you can put some plans in place as well. Play a bit of cricket as well,” Chris Gayle added.
