Chris Lynn is one of the most destructive batsmen in T20 cricket and it was once again proved at the IPL 2020 auction. He travels across the world to play in domestic T20 leagues and he is one of the most popular and demanded T20 players by T20 franchises, for his big-hitting skills. On the first day of IPL 2020 auction, Chris Lynn was one of the hottest bets for all the franchises owners.
After KKR released him, Chris Lynn was always going to be a big fish for franchise owners at IPL 2020 auction because the dashing Australian has the ability to destroy any bowling attack and finish matches single-handedly on his day.

But, interestingly, Chris Lynn was picked by Mumbai Indians just for his base price of INR 2 crore. Mumbai Indians have always been a team of superstars and Lynn’s addition to their squad is only going to add more firepower and big-hitting to their star-studded batting order. The pitches at Wankhede Stadium always favor batsmen, especially in the IPL, and Lynn’s presence at the top of the order will be a big advantage for the Paltan. Chris Lynn has played 41 matches in IPL and scored 1280 runs at a healthy strike rate of 140.65.
Mumbai Indians’ Twitter handle seemed overjoyed with Chris Lynn’s inclusion at the IPL 2020 auction and they announced it with a brilliant message. They wrote:
“Player number 002, pick number 001 – Chris Lynn can send them to the railway tracks outside Wankhede.”
