Most of the cricket pundits believe Virender Sehwag has no chance of making a comeback to international cricket. His reflexes have gone down and Sehwag’s batting is all about reflexes. But, if you ask his fans, they are still very hopeful about his comeback, and they believe that CLT20 will be the stage where their hero will make this happen.
Nishchay Garg, a CA student from Sirsa (Haryana) says (in a cricket discussion page on Facebook ) , “Sehwag still has a lot of cricket left in him. How can you forget his brilliant century against CSK in IPL7?”
Karan Devgun, a 23 year old working in an event management company in Delhi says, “Sehwag is still better than Rohit Sharma. His experience will be required by Team India in 2015 World Cup. If he does well in CLT20, he should be picked.”

In my honest opinion, Virender Sehwag has past his prime and he’s not going to get any better. His fitness level is not what it used to be and the increased fat around his stomach is a hint that he’s not trying too hard to make a comeback. Many Indian players like Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan and Virender Sehwag would bank on their performance in CLT20 2014, to make a comeback before the World Cup. More or less, CLT20 2014 will be their last chance to impress the selectors.

Although, there’s no real chance of making a comeback, but Sehwag will bat for his fans. Sehwag is one of the most exciting and dominating batsmen in the history of the game. It’s true that he is not as exciting and dominating as before, but, for his fans, he will always be the same terrorizing Sehwag, who revolutionized modern-day batting in Test cricket.
