Since Virat Kohli has taken over the captaincy of the Indian team the bar of fitness has been raised by many notches. Virat Kohli and the BCCI have made sure that each player goes through some mandatory fitness standards and screenings before making it to the Indian dressing room. The Indian team has looked sharper in the field ever since Virat has changed the fitness norms.

Virat Kohli trains very hard and he has become an inspiration for all his team members and hence there is an entirely new vibe in the Indian team. This positive vibe will do India a lot good in the 2019 World Cup.

This fitness test which is called the ‘Yo-Yo Test’ is one tough nut that the players are required to crack before they make it to the Indian squad. Now the BCCI has raised the bar of the yo-yo test even higher and this means Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh will have to clear the yo-yo test again.

It was only yesterday that Suresh Raina smashed a scintillating hundred in the Syed Mushtaq Alit trophy and he would have been hoping for a comeback to the national team but seems like he will have to wait and clear the revised yo-yo test first. Both Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh are eyeing a comeback to the national side.

WHAT HAS BEEN REVISED IN THE YO-YO TEST?

The benchmark for the yo-yo test has been raised to 16.5 from being 16.1 previously and this might become a cause of worry for Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh as the road to their comeback becomes even tougher. The BCCI also plans to revise the bar in near future and set the benchmark to 17. In Australia, the benchmark is 21 while the benchmark has been kept as 17 in Pakistan.

This might come up as a good move in terms of preparations for the 2019 world cup but for Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh this might mean the end of the road and shatter all their hopes of making a comeback to the team.
