CricCrazyNiks Wrote A Hilarious Tweet After De Kock Tricked Fakhar Zaman

South African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock created a stir in the cricket fraternity after his game-changing move resulted in a controversial dismissal of Fakhar Zaman. Pakistan’s Fakhar, who was batting on 193, was only 7 runs short of scoring his maiden double century, however, de Kock shattered all his dream and dismissed him in the most clever way.

The controversial run-out came on the first delivery of the final over after Zaman hit the ball towards the cover boundary. Zaman was trying to complete his second run however he was undone by a direct hit from deep by Aiden Markram.

Quinton de Kock tricked Zaman in the most clever way. While the batsman was still in the process of completing his second run, de Kock raised his hand and signaled towards the non-striker’s end, creating confusion. He made Zaman believe that the throw was going to the non-striker’s end. However, the fielder Aiden Markram had gone to the striker’s end and de Kock shattered the stump.

His run-out in a thrilling climax to the 2nd ODI match between Pakistan and South Africa has triggered the ‘spirit of cricket’ debate on social media. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone is discussing the controversial dismissal.

However, one of the best tweets came from a popular Twitter user named ‘CricCrazyNiks’, whose tweet is now going crazily viral. In his tweet, Nikhil drew comparisons between Quinton de Kock and Kumar Sangakkara.

Nikhil reminded everyone of the former Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara’s similar act a few years ago against Pakistan where he had fooled Ahmed Shahzad into running quickly to complete the second run. He wrote:

A keeper fooling a Pakistan opener has happened before.
Quinton Sangakkara there!”
