The Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma era started with a bang for team India as they defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets in the 2ns T20I game. New Zealand cricket team made three changes coming into the 2nd T20I match against India, however, despite that the Kiwis failed to make a comeback in the ongoing series.

The Kiwis fought well but again ended up on the wrong side of the result. After opting to field first, Team India rode on a stunning bowling display by the spin duo of Ravi Ashwin and Axar Patel to restrict New Zealand to a modest 153 for six in the second T20I. The New Zealand cricket team could only fetch 28 runs off the last 5 overs and that’s what cost them the most.

Team India put on a stellar show as they put a clinical performance to chase down the target runs. The Indian openers — KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma once again stole the show with the bat. Both the openers looked so elegant with the bat as they continued their sublime form to seal not just the game but also the T20I series.

KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma joined hands and guided the Indian cricket team in their second win of the ongoing 3-match T20I series. KL Rahul smashed 65 off 49 runs, smashing 6 fours and 2 sixes. Rohit Sharma also scored a stunning half-century as he scored 55 runs off 36 balls, smashing 1 four and 5 sixes.

However, once again both the cricketers couldn’t take the team to the winning side. Venkatesh Iyer and Rishabh Pant completed the run chase for India by scoring the winning runs.

Meanwhile, the fans on social media soon flooded Twitter with their amazing reactions to this. Indian cricket fraternity also hailed the Indian side for their stunning performance.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

Might be an unpopular opinion but my Player of The Match tonight will be an Indian bowler. R Ashwin. 4 overs for 19 runs and a wicket. Who’s yours? #IndvNZ

Rohit’s ability to pull serious pace for sixes. Ground dimensions make no difference. No stand is too far…no boundary is too long. #IndvNZ

How motivated @ashwinravi99 has been to prove himself once again in T20I. Harshal Patel proving that his IPL success has made him dream for India career. #INDVsNZT20

Harshal gets his first International wicket. ??
Wondering if Iyer will get to bowl today…if he doesn’t, it’ll be telling us something about what the team management thinks about his bowling skills. #IndvNZ
