Cricket World Cup 2023: England’s Barmy Army Mocked Virat Kohli After He Scored A Duck: The Indian cricket team batted first for the first time in the ongoing 2023 World Cup during the match against England and they faced a series of early setbacks. After being invited to bat first by the England captain Jos Buttler, the team lost the early wicket of Shubman Gill.

The dismissal brought the in-form batting maestro Virat Kohli to the crease. Virat Kohli has been stellar in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 and has played crucial knocks for his side in almost every game. However, this time, the crowd at Lucknow Stadium was left stunned as the India batter was dismissed for a nine-ball duck.

Virat was eager to open his account after four successive dot balls against David Willey, however, a clever delivery by Willey did the trick for England. Willey trapped Virat in a very smart way. He delivered a shorter ball to Kohli and the Indian batter advanced down the pitch and found himself far from the ball’s ideal contact point. Kohli attempted a lofted shot straight down the ground. The ball struck the top part of his bat and floated towards mid-off, where the ball landed straight into the hands of Ben Stokes.

“Just out for a morning walk”
