10 Hilarious Tweets By Angry Indians On Ajinkya Rahane

The Indian fans were quite annoyed with the stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane after he registered another low score to his name in the second innings of the first test match against New Zealand.

Rahane could score only one half century in 7 innings on the England tour and there were question marks over his spot in the Indian test team ahead of the first test against New Zealand. However, with the regular captain Virat Kohli opting for a break, Rahane managed to find a spot in the test team again and since, he was the deputy, he stood in as the captain as well in Kohli’s absence.

But, the way Ajinkya Rahane spoke in the pre-match press conference about his form, it annoyed the Indian fans before the game itself. Rahane said he was not concerned about his form as he was contributing for the team whenever he was required by the team.

Looking at Rahane’s scores in the last few series, it was quite clear that he was not turning up for the team as consistently as he needed to. For him to still say that he was contributing at every point of requirement, it was never going to make a lot of Indian fans happy.

Ajinkya Rahane needed a couple of decent knocks in Kanpur test match

A couple of decent scores in the Kanpur test match would have, however, helped Ajinkya Rahane, but he failed again twice in the game after actually looking good for a decent period of time in the first innings.

On day 4 of the game today with India in trouble having lost a couple of early wickets again, Rahane needed to play a substantial knock, but he was trapped in front by an arm ball from Ajaz Patel on the score of 4.

While Shreyas Iyer and a couple of lower order batsmen made sure India were not bowled out cheaply, the Indian fans were still furious about Rahane’s knock and there were a lot of funny tweets which surfaced out of the anger of the fans. Here are some of them –
