Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba gets BJP ticket

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has released the first list of candidates who will be contesting the Gujarat assembly elections in 2022. Interestingly, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba Jadeja has gotten a ticket to contest in the upcoming polls. 

On Thursday, Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav announced the first list of BJP candidates for the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections in 2022. The list included as many as 100 names. As per the official list of candidates, Rivaba Jadeja has been fielded from the Jamnagar North seat of the Gujarat assembly. She joined the Bhartiya Janta Party in 2019 and has replaced an existing candidate from the Jamnagar North seat.

Who is Rivaba Jadeja, wife of Ravindra Jadeja?

Ravindra Jadeja and Rivaba got married in 2016 and have been together since. Rivaba was also known as Riva Solanki before her marriage. She is the daughter of Hardev Singh Solanki and Prafullaba Solanki.

Born on September 05, 1990, Rivaba is aged 32 years. She joined the Bhartiya Janta Party in 2019 and now is all set to contest the elections for the first time this year from the Jamnagar North constituency in the Gujarat assembly elections in 2022.

Cricketer Ravindrasinh Jadeja also announced his support for PM Modi in June 2019.

Talking about her education, she has completed her Mechanical Engineering at the Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science in Gujarat’s Rajkot. Before she joined BJP in 2019, she was appointed as the chief of the women’s wing of Karni Sena. 

Rivaba is also known for her charity work. Last year, the couple made news of opening Sukanya Samriddhi bank accounts for 101 baby girls on the occasion of their daughter’s 5th birthday.  In fact, their efforts at creating awareness and helping the girl children become financially independent were praised by PM Modi, who via a letter had praised Rivaba for her efforts.
